About Dad4Kids

Dad4Kids is an independent studio making free, ad-free educational games for children aged about 3–7 — in math, reading, Spanish and logic. Every game plays right in the browser, with nothing to install and no account to create.

Who makes Dad4Kids

Dad4Kids is created by Evgeny Arsentiev, PhD — a researcher and a dad. The games are designed and built in-house, not licensed templates, and grounded in current learning science.

Our method: learning that feels like play

We start from one simple truth every parent knows: children want to play, not study. So we don't fight it — we turn the learning itself into the game. A correct answer is how you fire the arrow, defend the castle or win the mission, so practice becomes the fun part instead of the chore.

It's an innovative take on an old idea, and it works because it matches how children actually learn: short, motivating rounds; instant feedback; quick recognition and recall; and difficulty that adapts so a child is always challenged but never stuck.

Built on research

Our approach draws on peer-reviewed research in game-based learning, intrinsic motivation and memory — meta-analyses showing well-designed educational games improve achievement, plus studies on retrieval practice, the spacing effect and systematic phonics. The key references are listed below and on each subject's pages.

The science behind the games

Every Dad4Kids game is built on one simple truth: children want to play, not study — so we turn learning into a game worth replaying. The method draws on peer-reviewed research in game-based learning, motivation, and how memory works.
